Should I continue trying to learn guitar or play bass instead?
I’ve played guitar off and on for a few years. I took guitar glass in high school and we learned some basic notes, chords, etc. I taught myself power chords, and I’m decent with that. I’m looking to buy either a new guitar or bass. I was told bass is much easier to play, so I was maybe going to give bass a try instead since I still am not real great at guitar. The only thing Im worried about bass is that I wouldn’t have as many opportunities to join bands and stuff since I hear that alot of people play bass and bands need guitarists alot more often than bassists. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

Actually, i think most bands need a bass as opposed to guitar. But personally I’d continue to learn guitar, then down the road learn bass on the side. That’s what I’m gonna do this summer.
guitar. you don’t have to memorize as much as bass.
Bassists are rarer, but you’ll be more entertained with guitar.
I played bass to get me started, then moved to guitar, which is tons more fun. Bass IS much easier to play. You’ll master it in months, …..then what? lol thats it. It’s not that big of an achievement. Surrre slap and pluckin a bass is fun for a day, but i got an idea………
PLAY BOTH!!!!
Play bass for a while, then move up to regular guitar.
Then whatever a band needs, you can do it!
DO NEITHER, LEARN GLOCKENSPIEL!!!!!!
